Article Sponsorship Plugin
This plugin I purchased back in 2012, I wanted a way for people to sponsor blog posts on WPin. A way to make a few bucks from advertisers with a simple and easy to use interface. I did actually write a review on this for on WP Daily Themes which you can read here.
Amazon eStore Affiliates Plugin
Purchased back 2012, wanted a way to make a few bucks from Amazon from running an affiliate store. In fairness the plugin was clunky and not much fun to use. It’s a plugin and a theme rolled into one, which I for one had a hard time getting used to.
Specific Social Notification Bar
Adds a notification bar at the top of your WordPress powered website with a range of CSS animations. Share messages on Google+, Twitter, Facebook etc. Has not been updated since 2013. Avoid.
Social Gallery WordPress Photo Viewer Plugin
This plugin creates a Facebook style light box with a commenting system as well as the ability to share it on other social networks. It’s actually rather good, I purchase it back in 2012 with a view to using it. Just never found the occasion to use it for the projects I was working on, worth a look though.
Slider Revolution Responsive WordPress Plugin
Been on a website and they have a fancy animated slider? Well it may well have been the Slider Revolution plugin. It’s quite fun to build slides with it to capture the attention of users and such. Can be a little too complicated for the average user, if you invest the time in it you can create something a bit special.
ShowDown WordPress Plugin
Actually purchased this for a charity blog post for the day job, We were running a competition for Movember. The idea being our customers could vote on who had the best tache etc. It served it’s purpose and is fairly straight forward to use. Think hot or not style and you’d be halfway right.
iLightBox For WordPress
I actually like this plugin, it offers a great way to showcase your images with some rather lovely effects. It’s stylish and simple to use. I did actually have a play around again with it quite recently and was just as good as I remember it was back in 2013!
WordPress Live Chat Plugin
Bought this way back in 2013. I wanted to keep everything inside WordPress, including chat. It’s a simple plugin but has plenty of features. Unfortunately for me and the business need of the day job it just wasn’t enough. If however you wanted a simple effective online chat plugin for WP, this is worth a look.
WooZone WooCommerce Affiliate Plugin
Now this is a beast. If you have ever wanted to run your very own Amazon affiliate store using WordPress this is the plugin you need. In fact I have written a tutorial on how to build an Amazon affiliate shopping cart with WordPress here. I used this plugin for the tutorial, it’s got more features than you can shake a stick at and a must for anyone looking to run an affiliate store with WooCommerce & WordPress.
Sabai Directory Plugin For WordPress
If you’ve ever wanted to run your own business directory using WordPress you will almost immediately think you need a specific theme to do so. Not so with the Sabai Directory plugin, it works with pretty much any WordPress theme and gives you plenty of ways to make money on your site by offering a business directory. With support for paid listings and much much more. Sadly it hasn’t been updated since November 2015 so unsure on it’s compatibility.
WPeddit: Reddit for WordPress
Simply put adds a reddit style voting system on your WordPress website for users to up vote or down vote your content on a case by case basis. Being honest I never actually used it so cannot account for whether it’s any good or not. Sorry.
FBar – Responsive WordPress Demo Switch Bar Plugin
This plugin adds a bar at the top of a site and allows you to select different demos and such then switches to the demo you have selected. Was thinking of using it in round up posts but never really got round to using it so cannot account for functionality.
FormCraft – Premium WordPress Form Builder
Contact forms can make or break a website in terms of generating leads and interest. I purchased the FormCraft plugin to add a bit of sexy to a site I was building for a friend. Supports inline popups and lots more. Fairly easy to use, has a drag and drop builder for creating contact forms, sliders, ratings and more. Worth a look.
Ninja Popups for WordPress
Was looking to add a popup to WPin and wanted one with a bit of zing in it’s step. Ninja Popups fit the bill. Integrates rather nicely with mailchimp, GetResponse, AWeber and many more. Has a really nice popup builder via a drag and drop interface and once you get to grips with it you can create popups that might actually get filled in!
WooCommerce Wholesale Prices
Run a wholesale business? Or indeed sell business to business don’t want the world to see your trade pricing? Then this is the plugin for you, I did actually review this WooCommerce plugin here on WPin. If you want to find out more about it you can do so here.
Layered Popups for WordPress
Rather liked this plugin I purchased this one before I purchased Ninja Popups. It’s a great all round plugin which I did actually review a while back, again if you would like to know more read my review here.
Premium SEO Pack WordPress Plugin
Bought this back in 2013 as I was looking for an alternative to WordPress SEO. I have to say I lost faith in it, made my site incredibly slow and not all the functionality worked as it should. I have to be honest I have not tested the later versions so it could be working properly now. I just couldn’t be bothered to revisit it, so be warned.
Ultimate Social Deux
As was the trend and as is still the trend to have sexy sharing buttons I made the leap and purchased the Ultimate Social Deux plugin. It was quite nice and fun to use, was overkill for me in the end. However it does fan counts, different placement options a variety of skins for the button output and analytics. Worth a look if social sharing is of paramount importance to you.
WooCommerce Request a Quote
Love this plugin, it’s a great way to turn your WordPress + WooCommerce install into a quote request machine. I reviewed the plugin here on WPin, if you want to find out more about what it can and cannot do then read my review of the plugin here.
Sixthlife Search for Envato Affiliates
Purchased this as I wanted an easy way to add in themes and plugins from Envato into my blog posts. Have to say it was a pig to use and I personally wouldn’t recommend it, could not get it to work at all. Tried lately as well still nothing.
Envato Affiliate Plugin
States that you can add in Envate products into WordPress posts simply using a shortcode. Yeh sure that part works but the links it creates do not. So avoid this one.
Visual Composer: Page Builder for WordPress
Love them or hate them page builders are here to stay. That being said Visual Composer is one of the most sold on the web for WordPress. Is it any good though? Well I’ve been using Visual Composer for little over 4 years and yes it is rather good. It’s an easy way to make post content more alive, again it’s not for purists who favor the standard post editor and can be overkill for some. It’s got a boatload of features that you need to see working so view the demo for an idea of what it can do.
MiwoShop – eCommerce & Shopping Cart
Bills itself as an eCommerce shopping cart, what it does not state is the fact it’s just OpenCart inside WordPress. Want to find out more about it? Then read my MiwoShop plugin review here. P.s. it’s very expensive for what it actually is.
This plugin allows you to create inline tweets inside your WordPress posts and pages. It’s simple enough and did exactly what it says on the tin. Has not been updated for 2 years so unsure as to whether or not this actually works. Use caution.
Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer
Adds additional functionality to the Visual Composer page builder plugin. Think new backgrounds, animations, icon fonts etc. It does what it says in fairness I did have it up and running on one site a while ago and looked the part, was easy to use. If you’re familiar with Visual Composer then this might be for you.
Fancy Product Designer – WooCommerce Plugin
If you sell t-shirts or branded products then this might be right up your street. I purchased it for a project a while ago. We wanted to give end users the ability to stamp their subsequent label and artwork on a couple of products that we offered. It worked. It gives users freedom to create something based off of your photos of products and share them and such. It’s a good little plugin and would be ideal for someone in the print trade.
ADF – Amazon Discount Finder for WordPress
Got excited about this one. How cool would it be to offer a search box for users to find products on Amazon, search deals and more. With a view to making a couple of box via the Amazon Affiliates plugin. Pretty cool huh? Unfortunately I could never get it to work, my fault? Maybe, tried again of late and still could not get it to work or display properly. Use caution if you’re serious about this one, you’ve been warned!
WhatPress? WordPress Theme Detector Plugin
I wanted a way to offer users the ability to detect WordPress themes on my site. It works sure but doesn’t have enough options like the ability to add in affiliate links to the themes found in question. Also note has not been updated for 2 years!
DevKit – Developer Tools for WordPress
Purchased this one as I was looking to the Layers WordPress theme. The plugin gives you advanced customization options for Layers. Had a play around with it and liked it was a bit of a learning curve for me. Not the plugin but getting to grips with CSS and such, it’s worth noting that this plugin now works with any WordPress theme, so make changes to your hearts content!
Woocommerce Envato Affiliates – WordPress Plugin
This plugin lets you create a shop front for all the items on the Envato network. It has a search option and adds products into your WooCommerce back end. It comes complete with it’s very own theme as well. It works, it works very well with it’s own theme and places your affiliate link on the buy button. When you use it with your own WordPress theme it sadly does not. Worth a look if you’re looking at using it with the inbuilt theme, just bear in mind it has not been updated for a while now.
Viral WooCommerce Plugin: BuyForMe
A novel idea indeed. This plugin adds a secondary box to your WooCommerce product listings (which you can name at your choosing) when a user clicks the box a popup opens and they can change and edit the product listing and send it to there friend! To get a real overview of how this plugin works and whether or not it’s worth purchasing you can read my Buy For Me review here.
That concludes all the WordPress plugins I own on CodeCanyon. I have to say it was a fairly hit or miss affair. Hopefully if anything as with my other post on themes I own I will have gone some way to help you save some money from not replicating the mistakes I made!
Or perhaps I have opened your eyes to a new WordPress plugin you have not seen or heard from before! Either or.
Hope you enjoyed the post and don’t forget to share it
