Why the occasional unexpected object can be more memorable than a perfectly matched room.
Let a room have a sense of humour
A home is allowed to be a little strange. A playful detail can break up a room full of sensible choices and give visitors something to talk about. It does not have to be loud or expensive.
Make it personal
The most interesting objects usually have a reason to be there. They might connect to a hobby, a trip or a shared joke. That connection gives an unusual object more staying power than simply being fashionable.
Choose a place, not just a product
Think about where a find would live before buying it. A surprising lamp, print or ornament works better when it has enough space to be noticed. If you cannot imagine a home for it, enjoy the idea and keep browsing.
You can admire without owning
Not every brilliant or ridiculous thing needs to become a purchase. Sometimes the pleasure is just seeing that someone made it. WPin is as much about that moment of discovery as it is about finding something to buy.
Interesting things. Honest context. That’s the WPin way.
